A NSFW Lab Track by Garfunkel and Oates – Mad Art Lab

Here are some lyrics from a hugely funny song about how Christian highschoolers have anal sex so as to “preserve” their virginity. Read the whole song – it truly is hilarious. But before you do, here’s a section from just after the middle that clearly illustrates the irrational rationalizations to which Christians in general subscribe without thinking twice:

I do what the Bible tells me toExcept for the parts I choose to ignore‘Cause they’re unrealistic and inconvenientBut the rest I live by for sureSo let’s not talk about how the good bookBans shellfish, polyester, and divorceAnd how it condones slavery and killing gays,‘Cause those parts don’t count, of courseLet’s cherry-pick the part about losing my cherryAnd line up for doing ambiguous missionsAnd circumvent any real sacrificeBut still feel pious for my arbitrary parroted positionsAnd don’t you dare question my convictionAnd don’t look closely at the contradictionsJust focus on the sacrificial crucifixionAnd have faith in His complete jurisdictionAs the only way to measure whether you’re good or notAnd when [hit with bait?], just say to have faith‘Cause when you’re up against logic it’s the only card you’ve got
